Abstract:
The friction in (he sliding guide ways of the machine tools is an essential parameter deforming the static and dynamic behavior of the straight-forward moving machine elements-slides and tables. The objective of (his paper is to introduce a new method for estimation of (he friction force in (he sliding guide ways of (he machine tools considering the basic machine parameters. It is developed for a practical use from the machine tool designers. The paper describes the relationship between (he tangential contact deformations and the formation of friction force.
