Abstract:
The Technical University of Gabrovo has participated in projects under JOULE, Copernicus and the Fifth Framework Program of the European Commission. The project entitled “PV Enlargement – Technology Transfer, Demonstration and Scientific Exchange Action for the Establishment of a Strong European PV Sector” under the Fifth Framework Program has involved 27 partners from 10 countries with the objective of establishing a European network of university photovoltaic (PV) power supply systems connected to the mains. The paper presents results of 10 years of experience that the authors have gained in research, design and realization of the potentials for using the photovoltaic conversion of solar energy into electrical energy.
