Abstract:
English for Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics is a skills-based course designed specifically for siudents and professlorials in the fields of mechanical engineering and mechatronics who need to improve their skills of using English in thelr professional communication. It provides carefully graded practice and progression in the basic academic skills of understanding and interpreting scientific and technical texts if a special domain, using the language in everyday and professional situations and summarizing written text. All reading texts are authentic, i.e. simplified but not adapted, carefully selected illustrated textual mailerials taken from engineering disciplines constituting the respective domains or knowledge, which focus on the key mecharilcal engineering and mechatronics terminology.
