Gergana Dicheva, who I would like to refer to as Ger, is an artist that one rarely encounters – she does not compromise her creative vision with anyone or anything. She has a certain style that expresses her identity. And what is really important is that she is not afraid to show it. Her main thing is painting but she is also interested in photography and modeling. When one looks at her Instagram profile, they might be shocked at the content at first. But that content is very artistic and unique, and a manifestation of her artistic mind. The central message of the movie is about the struggle of artists and what they must put up with it in order to achieve their dreams. I want to show what it is inside of an artist and how much hardships and struggle can be found behind a piece of art, and that those hardships are worth it at the end of the day.
The heart of the story is Belonogata, or Gergana Dicheva, a young artist from Ruse, Bulgaria who has been working hard to achieve her dreams despite the setbacks she faces every day.
I want to make this documentary as subjective as I can, meaning to express every emotion Ger feels through the camera. I want to have different angles such as Dutch angle, and different camera movements. I believe that it could be very chaotic inside Ger’s head and I want to transcend that on the screen. The target audience of this movie is anyone who feels lost or confused. Anyone who feels that they could have done more to achieve their dreams. Anyone who needs inspiration and somebody to identify with. This movie is for the dreamers. For the ones who are still fighting and for those who lost hope. I want to ignite their spark with this movie and show them that dreams are worth fighting for. [abstract] This project is copyrighted.
