Family house of merchant Laos Funk

The house was built as a villa outside the city centre and has a remarkable spatial and aesthetic effect. Architect Fingov defined it as the first genuine Secession building in Bulgaria. Its plan is open, functional, allows for the construction of a dynamic volume. The beauty of the building is revealed successively in motion - the images change constantly. The silhouette is made of multiple voluminous elements: bay windows, risalits, facade upgrades, terraces. The roof configuration includes different in size, incline and direction surfaces that contribute to the dynamics by means of light reflection and creation of various shadows.
