Title:
"Todor Minkov" School (First junior high for girls)
Abstract:
This is one of the 8 public schools that were designed as a result of a competition won by the architects Fingov, Nichev and Yurukov. The three of them visited different cities in Germany, Austria-Hungary and Switzerland in order to study the latest trends in school buildings. Each of the schoolhouses had an individual design, bound by the common Secession stylistics, but with different accents. The intention of the architects was to create a respectful image and organic aesthetics in the exterior and interior that radiates calm and elegance and gives the occupants education in good taste.
