Third High School for Boys

The architectural plan for Third High School for Boys in Yuchbunar District was presented at an exhibition of the “Lada” Union of South Slavic Artists that took place in Belgrade in September 1904. The design bears Secession stylistics and contributes to its affirmation in public buildings. In 1939 the schoolhouse was upgraded with another floor, which weakened its Secession effect. According to P. Yokimov, in this building's architecture one could recognise the principles that Otto Wagner taught and observed in his work. The interior is remarkable with its casted ceilings, plaster panels and mosaic tiles.
