Abstract:
The widespread production and utilization of internal combustion piston engines have had a profound and detrimental impact on the environment. The delicate balance supporting life on Earth is highly sensitive to changes in the physical and chemical composition of the environment. Emissions from internal combustion engines contribute significantly to altering the concentration of various chemicals in the air, water, and soil, posing a threat to the well-being of biological entities, particularly humans. This paper explores the potential for enhancing fuel quality and mitigating engine wear through the use of various additives. These additives not only contribute to engine longevity but also facilitate the cleaning of fuel systems and enhance engine performance across all operating conditions. However, the efficacy of such additives is contingent upon the compatibility of the fuel with the engine type and prevailing environmental conditions. It is crucial to match fuel types with specific engines and environmental contexts to realize the full benefits of these additives, as using summer fuel at low temperatures, for instance, requires additional measures such as antigel additives.
