Abstract:
This work presents an overview of the characteristics and design elements of women's
standard dance costumes, focusing particularly on their impact on the dancers' performances and
audience perception. Costumes include ankle-length or above-the-ankle skirts made of several pieces,
offering a large cut at the bottom to facilitate dancing. Elastic and shiny materials are often used, as well
as decorative elements such as stones, feathers, sequins, and pearls, which add elegance and
uniqueness to the dresses. It should be noted that the back of the dress receives a prominent decoration,
emphasizing its visibility during performances. The sleeves are also decorated with separate decorative
elements, enhancing the movements and exuberance of the dancers. The dress design, inspired by the
elegance of European royal courts, emphasizes the refined and lavish nature of the standard dances.
Through their intricate design and exquisite appearance, women's standard dance costumes play an
important role in enhancing both the visual appeal of the performance and its emotional impact on the
audience.
