Abstract:
This article examines the most commonly applied methods from the section of inferential
statistics. Their essence and application are clarified, offering concrete examples from the field of biology. The requirements for application and limitations of individual statistical procedures. The steps and stages of their implementation are tracked using the specialized software for statistical data processing - SPSS. The meaning of the derived coefficients is clarified and guidelines are given for their quantitative evaluation and interpretation. Attention is paid to the presentation of data in the research paper.
