Abstract:
Methods for calculating of polymeric materials gears,based on the hereditary theory of viscoelasticity has been developed. In the formulas for calculating of the contact strength and deformation of the gears,all the functions of elastic constants are replaced by corresponding operators.
The methods has been applied for calculating of replaced in wide range of powers and viscoelasticity. lt was found out that when the contact is polymer/polymer,decisive factors for the efficiency of the couple are the temperature and deformation of the gears.When the contact is metal/polymer the decisive factor is the contact strength.On the basis of the data,obtained for strengths and strains,heating up,wearing and the geometrical parameters of the gear couple,was reached the conclusion that the couple metal/polymer is to be recommended.
