Abstract:
Radiation-chemical modification of polymers is a present-day method for receiving electro insulating materials with enhanced operating properties and low prime cost Modification of model and industrial insulating PVC-compositions has been carried out using ionizing radiations - y - radiation “Co and radiation with accelerated electrons in a wide range of radiation doses ( 2-70 Mrad ). The variation of a lot of properties depending on the radiation dose has been followed - tensile strength, elongation strain, specific permittivity. tg 6, gel-fraction etc. It was found that the increase in the dose of - radiation leads to a fall in tensilc- strength and elongation strain of PVC. Under radiation with accelerated electrons PVC-compositions keep their properties and in cases tend to improvement of some indices(tensile strength.elongation strain, thermostability.
