Abstract:
This paper presents results of the mathematical modeling of the intensity distribution of a city street lighting fitting for a single row of lamp posts and a given height at which lighting fittings hang. The reflection indicatrix of the road corresponding to this particular setting is taken into consideration (at 40 kmph, a = 3,3 deg; at 30 kmph, a = 5,7 deg). The objective is to minimize the lighting fitting's luminous flux so as to achieve the luminance determined by the norm for a given setting of the lighting installation. In order to satisfy the requirement that faces should be recognizable, constraints are imposed to ensure that the semi-cylindrical illuminance of the sidewalk, the overall and longitudinal luminance uniformity, as well as the glare factor comply with the norms.
