Title:
Splendid New Hotel
Abstract:
The building was erected in the city centre, in an area with numerous hotels at the beginning of XX century. It had served as a hotel for many years, but is currently used as an administrative building. Its appearance has been seriously modified: the big openings of the high ground floor and mezzanine, now rectangular, used to be framed by graceful arcs. The corner bay windows used to end with a small dome, and the floor above the cornice used to have a mansard roof which lacked other peaks. The three middle floors however have kept their rich ornamentation.
