Abstract:
Many publications [5], [6], [7] • etc, describe circuits with Current Feedback Amplifiers (CFA). So far, none of them describe the application of these amplifiers for selective LC-amplifiers. This is due to the difficulty to approach the problem in the theoretical sense in a way that delivers valuable equations for the practice. The present paper discuses a spec0c type of selective LC-amplifier using a Current Feedback Amplifier (CFA). The main advantage of the CFA versus Voltage Feedback Amplifiers (VFA) is their gain-bandwidth independence. Some recommendations for designing this kind of analog circuits are given, based on simulation results, symbol analysis of the transfer function and breadboarding as well as elements' values calculation using center frequency, voltage gain, bandwidth, and Qfactor of the LC-Amplifiers as input parameters.
