Abstract:
Ralchev expresses his admiration for Salvini’s Anthology of Bulgarian poetry. He considers it an epochal event that is going to influence not only the Bulgarian intellectual life, but the Bulgarian literature studies as well. Salvini’s contribution for spreading Bulgarian culture and rapprochement between the Italian and Bulgarian nations is more important than politics. Ralchev makes two remarks about the critique of Vazov, Yavorov and Slaveikov, and about the neglecting of Kiril Hristov, Konstantin Velichkov and Zachary Stoyanov. He expresses his wish not only to make a review of the book, but to translate it as well. In the end he asks Salvini to send him the reviews about the translation of Carducci.
